Policies & Procedures


There are a few guidelines that I expect my clients to maintain in order for our relationship to work well and efficiently. If you have any questions about these guidelines please ask for clarification before committing to life coaching or during your consultancy.

Fees for Life Change Coaching

My fees are $165.00 AUD per hour. A client is required to sign a Contract. The first session is 2 hours and subsequent sessions are 1 hour. Payment is required for each session in advance by credit card by fax. So before the very first session you would need to pay $495.00 either at the time of booking, or at least 7 days before the scheduled appointment. This amount covers your first two-hour session plus the next one-hour session.

Each subsequent session, you pay for one hour in advance. On the last consultation, you will be one hour in credit which will be credited to your bill on that day. All videophone & telephone consultations must be booked at least 7 days in advance and full payment by credit card must also be made at this time. No refund is available for cancellations made after 7 days before the scheduled appointment. This also applies to missed appointments.

Clients pay for the telephone or videophone call at the prearranged time.

Please note that life change coaching is an ongoing proces. Expect to have at least 12 sessions and in many case, more.

Fees for Brief Business Coaching

Brief coaching is specifically to deal with a particular issue and we focus during a concentrated period over 7 days. During this time you may receive 3 or 4 coachings in that short period. The initial fee is for 3 hours coaching at $165.00 AUD per hour (total: $495.00), because the first session is for 2 hours and that fee also covers your final hour. Should we extend brief coaching beyond the 3 hours, you will be required to pay in advance by credit card for each session at $165.00 AUD per hour.

If you need to change or cancel your brief business coaching appointment you will need to make those alterations at least 48 BUSINESS hours in advance (Mon-Fri 9am-5.00pm Australia Sydney time). So if your appointment is on a Monday, you will need to cancel it on the Thursday before during business hours. If it is on a Tuesday, you will need to cancel the Friday before during business hours and so on. Changes or cancellations made less than 48 business hours in advance will incur the charge of the full rate for that session. This also applies to missed appointments.

Clients pay for the telephone or videophone call at the prearranged time.

Ask your accountant whether fees for coaching can be tax deductible.

All fees are paid in advance at an agreed hourly charge. Should we agree to any further consultancy contracts beyond your initial contract, those will require a fresh contract.

Payment is to be made by credit card only.


Procedure

My clients are expected to call on time. Please come to the call with updates and copies of progress reports and current challenges. Let me know if you are keen to work on any particular areas during that particular call.

If you call late then you are still charged for the time you have missed.

Preparation

Before each call please spend time to contemplate your preparation form 304. The preparation form needs to be faxed to me at least 24 hour before each call. Remember that the consultancy is to help you address many life issues or specific issues, all of which can be better considered if we are both prepared for the session.

Calls

Our agreement involves a set number of calls. If you or I have any vacations, then those calls will need to be made up both before and/or after the vacation to keep your development on time.

Appointment Changes

My clients give me 7 days notice of any changes to their appointments. Notice of change to appointments if you are ill will only be credited if you provide a bona fide doctor's letter. You commitment and punctuality in making the coaching work is vital to your success. I will say that commitment is one of the key facts to help you generate change.

Time Keeping

The coaching takes place during the call and I will not be available outside those times. The kind of work we will be doing is big picture work and I believe that you are capable of running your ordinary everyday life.

Problems

I want you to be satisfied with the coaching and our relationship. If I ever say anything that upsets you or you do not feel right, please bring it to my attention during the session. I will, however, often say things that will make you feel uncomfortable because we are drawing your attention to the things in your life that are not working for you. When a person begins to realise their strategies are not working, they naturally get an uncomfortable feeling that is an indicator that they need to change.

Championing

One of the aims of coaching is to help you reinvent many or parts of your life, actions and strategies that have become redundant. This is something I have done many times in my life very successfully. It is also something that I have been doing for so many years with other people as a recognised health professional. In running my own companies and businesses it is also something I am continually doing as an entrepreneur. So I believe that this is possible in all areas of a person's life.

I promise to champion you and your changes without judgement and with optimism and support. Take your life in your hands now as you set out to mould and shape it in a way to fulfil your needs and dreams.

Confidentiality

Clients are guaranteed absolute confidentiality and all my paper records are destroyed three years after the termination of the coaching. Our computers are also closely monitored and clients' files are regularly destroyed and deleted to preserve the client's right to privacy.
