Anxiety Treatment

Many people suffer from anxiety, ranging from panic attacks to social anxiety disorder. They may be unaware of the reasons why they are anxious, which can be buried deep in their past. Sometimes in the therapy session we need to review some of those disturbing memories and re-file them, so that the unconscious mind can be re-organised. This can be done very quickly within a few sessions with hypnosis.

I am predominantly anti-medication for anxiety management. I prefer, wherever possible, to use natural remedies for anxiety. Because I am a naturopath, I may prescribe herbs and vitamin supplements. And since I am also a counsellor and psychotherapist we use every tool available to move you forward very quickly toward a resolution. Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool that I have used with thousands of people over the years and is excellent in overcoming anxiety.

Of course there are some cases where people have generally had a tough time and they arrive at my practice already taking medication. But my clinical aim is to reduce the medication, use natural remedies for anxiety, and teach clients to cope with their own resources, which everyone possesses at some level of the unconscious.

I understand very well that chronic anxiety can be a cycle that needs to be broken and new behaviour and thought mechanisms installed as automatic responses in the unconscious. This is where hypnosis can be invaluable in helping such people gain relief from long-term chronic anxiety and experience a deep sense of calm in their life.

Anxiety disorder can be treated very successfully and inexpensively in quite a short space of time. In every case I work from a naturopathic, holistic perspective as I see a person as a whole, not just bunch of symptoms.

Being free of and learning to stay free of anxiety is wonderful experience for people who may have not experienced that for years. Of course I do see people who might be going through a particularly anxious time of their life and help them find better ways of coping and feeling good.

There is absolutely no need for you to continue to experience anxiety – whether it manifests as anxiety attacks, or social anxiety disorder – and making changes in your life and seeking professional help in overcoming anxiety certainly would be a wise way to go forward.

Sometimes the symptoms of anxiety and depression are conflated but treatment for anxiety and treatment of depression need to be different.

People always tell me how comfortable, calm and relaxed they feel after a hypnotherapy session and how they enjoyed just letting go of all their worries and anxiety. And of course I teach you to do this yourself, so in a relatively short space of time you do not need me anymore.
